Critical minerals are crucial for economic growth and various strategic sectors of a country, when limited in availability or have geographic concentration, this pose risks to supply chains and could disrupt the provision of these materials. Critical minerals like lithium, cobalt, nickel, graphite etc. are pivotal in advancing the global shift towards a low-carbon economy and the renewable energy technologies to fulfill the increasing number of countries' 'Net Zero' commitments. Therefore, it's vital to establish and enhance sustainable supply of the critical minerals for domestic needs. KABIL aims not only to secure the nation's mineral resources but also to promote import substitution.

KABIL presently is focusing on sourcing of Lithium and Cobalt through trade opportunities, governmental collaborations, strategic investments in mining assets, and forging commercial agreements with foreign entities to ensure stable supply of critical minerals for India.

Company has entered into MoU with Australia for identifying potential sources of Lithium and Cobalt and sourcing the same for downstream industries of India. Company has also entered agreement with State PSUs of Argentina and Chile to identify, explore and develop lithium mines.

KABIL has plans of starting its first exploration and mining project for Lithium in Argentina in the next few months, invest in few Lithium and Cobalt mining projects in Australia, firming up engagement with Chile and explore business opportunities in the potential countries within the next calendar year.

KABIL is also in the process of developing structured engagements with the Mid and Downstream industry stakeholders of the country, including Battery Materials and Components manufacturing sectors, Battery/ cell manufacturing sector with its aim of establishing a seamless supply chain across the sectors.

With the robust technical and financial back up of the promoter companies, patronage of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, KABIL is continuously thriving to ensure smooth availability of Critical Minerals in India.
