New achievements/ ventures of KABIL

Kabil has entered into an Agreement with the state-owned enterprise of Catamarca province of Argentina, CATAMARCA MINERA Y ENERGÉTICA SOCIEDAD DEL ESTADO (CAMYEN SE) on 15th January 2024.   With this Agreement, KABIL has obtained Exploration and Exclusivity Rights for 5 adjacent lithium brine blocks, covering an area of about 15,703 Hector, located in the Catamarca province of Argentina.

Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Government of India, Shri V.L. Kantha Rao, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Government of India, Shri Sanjay Lohiya, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines, Government of India, Dr Veena Kumari D, also attended the meeting virtually.

The Agreement was signed by President, CAMYEN, CPN Susana Peralta Molina and CEO, KABIL, Shri Sadashiv Samantaray, at the office of Governor of Catamarca and witnessed by the Honorable Governor of Catamarca Lic. Raul Jalil, and Ambassador of India to Argentina, H E Dinesh Bhatia in presence of Honorable Vice Governor of Catamarca, Eng. Ruben Dusso and Honorable Minister of Mines of Catamarca, Minister Marcelo Murua, Chairman, KABIL and CMD, NALCO, Sri Sridhar Patra.

Board members of CAMYEN, CPN Rodrigo Carrizo and Lic. Natalia Dusso, along with other senior officials from CAMYEN, as well as ED (CA), NALCO, Dr Pradyumna Pradhan and Chief Technical Officer, KABIL, Dr Sukanya Chakraborti, also attended the agreement signing ceremony.

With this Agreement, KABIL has obtained Exploration and Exclusivity Right for 5 adjacent lithium brine blocks, namely Cortadera I, 2. Cortadera VII, 3. Cortadera VIII, 4. Cateo2022-01810132, 5. Cortadera VI covering an area of about 15,703 Hector, located in the Catamarca province of Argentina, to evaluate, prospect and explore and subsequent to proving existence / discovery of lithium mineral, exploitation right for commercial production.

KABIL team led by  Chairman, KABIL visited the Cortadera area, located near the  Fiambala town of Fiambala district, of Catamarca Province, to get an overview of the blocks, Cortadera I, 2. Cortadera VII, 3. Cortadera VIII, 4. Cateo 2022-01810132, 5. Cortadera VI and its sarrounding areas, including connectivity, nearby projects etc.  

Khanij Bidesh India Limited (KABIL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT) for Technical & Knowledge cooperation for Critical Minerals on 10.04.2024.  Under the MoU, KABIL will leverage the technical expertise and knowledge support of CSIR-IMMT to undertake various projects.
